18 views and no one knows? please help me in need to get this car ready for the streets . and then do a swap and turbo so i can show that honda power is better then the rest
first of all, if you cant even figure out that you have a cross short in your light/door circuit how are you gonna do a motor swap and your catalog "turbo kit"..you need to go to autozone and buy some underglow lights and a fatty exhaust..
acually im going to custom build a turbo kit and i hate underglows , and i know im not going to be able to do a swap thats why im having some one i know do it or take it to california ,which isent to far away , thanx for thehelp but why flame it just shows that your a dick that knows how to type
Mine does it too, I jiggle the harness and it goes away for a while, then comes back. I'm too lazy to fix it right now.
It's just a short somewhere in one of your wires for the taillights, easy-peasy-japaneesy. Take em out, replace em, heatshrink em, tape em, whatever you feel like, but there's a short somewhere in the taillight harness that you gotta fix.

Yeah, when I "fix" it, it's usually out on the road. I stop the car, open the hatch (my rear panels were not installed, so the wires were exposed) jiggle the wires, go back, hit the brake, if the turnsignal light still comes on, go jiggle some more, if it doesn't, you're good to go for a while.
The cause in my case was a leaking taillight gasket. Do you get water in your spare tire well when it rains? if you do, get some silicone caulk, and seal up the mating surfaces (the indented parts) on that gasket to avoid future problems after you actually fix the wires properly.
If you see a wire with bare metal, that's your guy. I have two extra wires that are wire nutted and taped off. I don't know what they're for, everything works fine, but that was where my short actually was.
