Default Ok, here's the deal on my H22. Update on "Fresh built H22" thread.

the noise that i'm hearing is a whistling noise coming from the throttle body/intake manifold area. it's audible when i open the throttle while attempting to start the car. so it's not a mechanical problem....THANK GOD. so here's what the motor does. it catches (get's started) for about 1-2 seconds, then dies. this happens with no throttle. WITH throttle, it only lasts about .5-1 second. so, it's closer to starting (and staying on) w/o help from the throttle. anyone have any idea on this? i'm guessing the whistling and stalling go hand-in-hand.

thanks.

what do you mean by opened up? i can't tell if the idle screw is adjusted right since i can't get the car to stay on. if i have the wrong plug plugged into my MAP sensor, do you think that could cause the car to not stay on? you know, there's 3 identical harness plugs in that area: MAP, TPS, and EGR plugs all look the same.

Yes it would. I know without the map it will not run and did the same thing on my prelude.

ok i just tried every possible identical 3 plug connector and it does the same thing. what do you think about the assumption of it not getting enough fuel? i have a fuel pressure gauge on the filter and that shows a good reading, but i don't know if my injectors are working or not.
