Default Pioneer AVIC-D1 & Ipod Functionality...

I have owned a pioneer AVIC-D1 for about 8 months now, and when i first installed it i bought the Ipod conector for it (the pionner one).

My question is, when i hook up the ipod to it, why cant you see the song your playing? you can search artists-playlists-or even by song (pain in the ***), so why for instance when your playing (some cd) you do not see a list of the songs on that cd?

Is there something i need to change in the ipod settings?

Or would something like this fix the problem? http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-iP...wItem (remember i already have the pioneer one found here..http://www.pioneerelectronics.....html)

I know to get the song titles and an audio CD you have to burn it a certain way...

If you look in the manual for the ipod adaptor, it will tell you that it is opnly readable through the "external" software input. This means some features are not available.
