Quick Question About mounting intercooler sprayer..

Default Quick Question About mounting intercooler sprayer..

got an IC sprayer from a friend, didnt have any brackets or anything, and i think of see it done before, but can i drill a hole threw the fins on the IC, so i can stick the mounting screw threw it that holds the sprayer on?

i am really no expert at all with boost, but i really wouldnt recommend this, unless your looking for a boost leak. just rig up a bracket to mount it to the frame ect.

please don't drill your intecooler... the nx kit i had was held up by zip ties that ran through the fins.

Most FMIC's have a solid plate top & bottom to hold those extra rows of thin fins. I'd get some thin aluminum, make a 4 piece bracket system that holds it like a conduit clamp, and secure them to those plates. Drilling into the thick fins will make it nearly impossible to get all the chips out, and a couple sucked past the throttle body will make the motor very unhappy.
