2jz-ge, supercharged, header (removed 2 catalytic converters), stock downpipe (one catalytic converter), 3" exhaust into a vibrant resonator (12") and vibrant muffler (3").
My problem: It's still louder than a mother ... although, not nearly as loud as the old HKS exhaust setup (2.25"). It's bringing more attention to my car than I want, but I still want to have a 3" exhaust setup. With this setup, my car sounds like a muffled fighter jet at full tilt. Sounds good, but still too loud.
My question: Any way to make this thing quieter without changing out the muffler to a chambered setup? Should I tack on another resonator? I think a turbo would make it quieter, but I don't want to do that nonsense
Thanks for the help!

Yea no. thank you for contributing to absolutely nothing to the problem at hand
On the matter of the exhaust note being too audible for the IS IMO I would put the stock exhaust back on (with some modifications) and call it a day. Hell that is what I did to the R and it sounds like a bat out of hell when you get on it (while at the same time not compromising flow). The other option is to get a resonator to quite that bish up.
Just my .02 cents.
