Default Crank Pulley Upgrade needed, What 2 Get?...

hey my fellow honda enthusiests. i need some info. i have a 97 gsr and i took off the ac and power steering. the only remaining belt used is the alternator. i just changed the timing belt and discovered that the pulley wobbled while running. it always was like that to tell you the truth. and its not that the crank bolt isnt tightened to spec, thats all good. it just may be that the pulley may be out of ballence. n e way, ima change it and wanted a pulley that will only use the alternator and maybe have a slight bit of underdrive. what is a perfered pulley that i should get? i didnt want one like the unorthadox racing one's since i herd that the rubber balancer deteriorates after a while. its street driven and a daily driver. any recomendations will be a tramendous help. thanx

ati damper. they're rebuildable, whereas fluiddampers are not.

do u know about the weight of them. i looked on some web sites and whenever i looked 4 gsr pulleys, almost always they show a pulley for a civic type r. whould u happen to know if the specs r the same? if the civic R will fit, most likely i will buy that one.

you want a pulley that will dampen vibration, not one that's lighter. they're heavy for a reason.

oh ok. only cuz i know that they have like unorthadox racing pulleys that are like one or two pounds. i knew that there was a catch. and right now my pulley wobbles a little. is the problem the crank pulley? or maybe the crank is bent? lol

that's not good at all! think about how much that's going to vibrate at high rpms. have you checked to see if your crank pulley bolt's tight?

yeah. it was a existing problem i had even before i ever touched the crank bolt. so when i did the timing belt, the crank pulley bolt took two full grown men to put their weight into loostening the bolt w a breaker bar. so um yeah. and the shim is facing the right way that is between the timing belt and pulley. i checked like 4 times.

get a new crank pulley bolt before you buy anything else. you probably bent the **** out of it.
