Default Need Clutch Replacement 00' si

Need to replace my clutch on my 2000 civic Si. Stock motor. No racing.

My clutch is slipping real bad, I got stuck in some really crappy snow a while back and rocking my car out of the snow I burnt the clutch out, I've been riding it out because between parts and labor it's kinda expensive. I bought my car used about 45k ago and was told it has a clutchmasters stage 3 in it. I don't care what stage it is I just want a solid reliable clutch with all the necessary parts. I'll be taking the car into a dealership a friend works at to do the work.

So far I've come across the sach's replacement(OEM Quality)

the Exedy Stage 1 and and a ACT clutch.

all seem to be reasonably priced. Thoughts, am I missing anything other then getting the "clutch kit" assuming they re surface my flywheel or should I buy a FW too.

thanks
Justin

Really liked my Exedy Stage 1 in my B16.

If you don't plan on modding the car ever, just keep the stock flywheel but resurface it, if you plan on modding, get the lighter 12 or 8.5lbs since you're already gonna take it off.

Cool thanks for the response. the only "mods" on the car are standard stuff

Intake, 4-1 2.5" Header., exhaust.. Doubt that matters much eh?

ACT stage 1, you won't be disappointed .

I think it varies to each person - like personally I hate the feel of an exedy clutch...but some people say nothing is better. Kinda up to you. Drive one of each - decide what you like better.

For the 101 pple gonna jump on me saying "what's an ACT stage 1":

I'm just using the term "stage 1" to describe ACT's "street clutch" setup.

just get an exedy oem replacement off ebay for under $100
No point in getting a stronger clutch, if you dont have the power to need it
