the car is reminding you to take care of it...change the oil,etc,etc,etc......theres a button under the dash(sit in the drivers seat then reach under the dash and youll feel a small square button)when you turn the car on hold it down tillit stops, its what the mechanic charges you 50$ for.....

i believe it starts to blink at every 3k mi and just stays on at every 5k (in between resetting) i could be wrong in the mileage intervals, but it's something along those lines. it's not connected to any sensor, just a mileage ticker... i'm pretty sure, anyway
