There is one of these threads every other day.
The light, as BS22 linked, is just a reminder light to do regular maintenance. These can be oil changes, fluid top-offs, etc. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your car.
It will blink for a few hundred miles on initial startup. Afterwards, it will stay on solid. You can turn it off by holding the button underneath the driver's side dash for a few seconds. It's right where your knees would be. Stick your head underneath there and look up.
