because you are trying to powershift and oem clutch.
you need to let off the throttle, then shift. bouncing off the redline like that isn't too good either

agreed. that isn't slipping. i just had a slipping clutch and what it does is no where close to yours. a slipping clutch wouldn't get close to the speed you were doing. if it did, you'd be at 7+ rpms. a slipping clutch feels like your car isn't going anywhere even though you have it floored, plus you get an awful burning smell.
you don't seem to have a clutch slipping problem...although u might soon, if u keep on shifting like that...
the stock OEM clutches are not designed for that type of heavy duty use....the aftermarket Carbon Kevlar clutches (a little expen$ive) are more forgiving...

You have got to be f*@king kidding me...
That's not even power shifting. That's an idiot breaking his car.
I want a refund for those 40 seconds of my life i just wasted.

why do people try to 'power shift' like that? I mean, when your already at redline, where are u gonna rev it to? Someone needs to teach you to drive standard, for the cars sake.
Heres the 30 second lesson for what its worth.
1) press clutch in
2) select gear(start in 1st)
3) slowly let the clutch out while increasing rpm. *if engine starts to bog, press in clutch and try again*
Shift point -> normal driving, shift around 3000rpm, "racing" shift around 6800.
4) Press clutch in, take foot off accelerator.
5) select next higher gear
6) let the clutch out, and give er hell
7) Hand on!
....jackass

actually all he really need to do is practice shifting!..dont hold the clutch and the gas in while changing to gear..try this..keep your foot on the gas and practice pulling it out of gear while gas on pedal..then at the split second press cluch in-remove foot from gas and insert into gear then go imedialty back into gear..i learned this in a road race course i took a while back..it works if you get it down!
