keep the shot small our you piston is going to wined up looking like you shot a hole threw it. also you may want to look into running one step colder plugs.

Ignore this all to common misconception. Limit your shot to 50 hp, you won't need to change plugs or timing or anything, just follow the manufacturers instructions and buy a NX or ZEX kit, you'll be fine.

He said he has this car laying around and wants to have some fun with it. Why not? It's just a D16. They cost what $400 for a good one?

That's exactly what happens....someone buys a nitrous kit, installs it and runs it incorrectly and destroys their engine...comes on HT and says, ran nitrous on my car and it blew up!!! then everyone says "don't run nitrous cause it will destroy your motor".......idiots....

There is more misinformation in that post than in a Micheal Moore movie.

Every time you spray you are taking a 1000 miles worth of life off your motor? If that's true, then unsprayed, my last mustang would have lived to WELL past a million miles and my first Honda would have probably seen 1.5 million miles.

And there are no bad nitrous horror stories, only idiot operator stories. 7 or so nitrous cars, ONE burnt exhaust valve in 14 years of usage and that one valve, well, that was my fault.
