Burning some oil while "getting on it"??
Well, the car has always been blowing alittle smoke here and there while WOT, but nothing major its just got to where that smoke is annoying, and its actually gotten alittle bit worst..
I can drive normal, and down shift and hit vtec and no smoke, its only at around 6-9k that blue smoke is noticeable from my exhaust..
I have no leaks, CR test is around 260psi across the board, Should i do a leakdown test to see? Valvestem seals are brand new, i just redid the head about 2 months ago.. There's no leaks and to be honest with you, i haven't really lost any oil, infact i lost more oil in a 400 mile trip, then i did racing a whole night..
The walls of my block are pretty great condition, minor, minor scuffing but i'm sure thats normal, car is pretty well tuned as well by me, on crome pro, its 13.0 WOT AFR..and its just annoying.. I do have a breather setup on the car, but its from the pcv(black box) to a catch can, then into the intake manifold.
Hardly any oil in that, and also in the manifold there's no oil either.. There's no leaks.. I'm thinking its my oil control rings but it wouldn't be this much oil..and i dont think it would hold compression that good either..
I'm still getting some major, major crankcase pressure which i think is creating blow by, i can whip off my oil pan and if i get on it enough some oil tends to "worm" out the sides..not alot and it doesn't do it perfusly just small, small amount... Any idea guys? i'm stuck really lol..

hrm.. i think you dont know what your talking about..
i'm n/a.. with around 11.8~12.0 CR.. my wot AFR should be anywhere between 12.9~13.3 for WOT AFR..
if i'm deep into the 12.0's i'm running nitrous or a small turbo/supercharger....thx for the "Try" but 99% of what you said is wrong.

Nah..during the coast down or down shift and just letting the rpms drop, it doesn't matter at all.. Infact the only thing i notice or smell is a few drops of oil from the oilpan dropping on to my heads..which is a really noticeable smell... Like i said, when i first start the car up in the morning, no smoke. No smoke while normally driving it, or getting on it under 6k..after 6k its just blue smoke..

Blue smoke is buring oil.
black smoke is rich condition.

How much oil are you losing? Vtec is known for a little bit of oil consumption because of the bump in oil pressure. When I behave my oil consumption is next to nothing, but when I'm constantly on the throttle and in the vtec range, I use up some oil. even then it's not a whole lot.
I just my oil about once a month depending on how much i actually drive the car..usually its not even a half a quarts thats missing i hardly use any oil myself...i just think its the crankcase pressure..

Almost definitely valve seals. Either that, or there is some carbon that builds up for some reason inside your exhaust. When you get on it, the carbon exits, and you notice the smoke. If it is a small amount of oil, it may not have fouled your plugs. Hondas burn oil all the time. More often than not. Solution: put your man pants on and add oil when nessacary. Or just have the valve seals changed. They go bad if your car sits for a long time and then is started up.. or like if you store it or something with old oil. They go brittle with age and heat and use as well. They're just rubber seals. Shops around these parts (spits into bucket) have quoted $200 for OEM honda parts and OEM white guy labor (not sure why that matters).

Thats some good info Again.. It isn't the seals.. The car doesn't sit at all its driven every other day, infact it been driven all of this week and last week. The head was just redone by portflow, and i in turn just installed it roughly a month ago. The valvesteam seals they used on the head were felpro...the car only sees mob 1 fully syn 10w-30 I add oil when needed, the smoke isn't carbon build up because that would be black, this is BLUE smoke.. So i'm pretty much rulling out the fact of running rich.... my plugs are almost perfect condition.. They've never fouled out.. I guess i could have them inspected again but i've done all this work to my car, only reason portflow did it this time was the fact medical school graduation was in the way. Otherwise i would have done it again for the 3rd time.. This car is build for this, its never broken and given me any problems Its fully tuned and it doesn't do this stupid crap until 6-9k.. And sometimes its alot and sometimes it isn't..

I got a similar problem/question, and I'd like some other GSR owners to let me know whats up.
The car doesn't smoke, doesn't burn oil, but whenever I engage VTEC and get on it, you can "smell" the oil.
My hatch with an ITR swap doesn't do this at all. And my LS/VTEC turbo coupe smells like oil, but I assumed it was the turbo, since it always smelled like oil before I even went VTEC.
So, is this normal? Any ideas? Can't see any oil leakage on the motor anywhere. Just wondering if this is normal, or if I'm looking at a problem in the future.

I have the same problem in my itr, But its only because of the massive amount of crankcase pressure that builds ups, and it ends up pushing a very tiny small amount of oil out the side of the oil pan which drips on to my header..
^
that's what I figured, but the thing that makes me wonder, is how come my ITR swap doesn't do it? Lower mileage maybe? Seals on the ITR are still in good shape or something?
The GSR has 75k on it, and the ITR has about 25k. Makes sense I suppose.
