Default ECU Chipping; Iron Tempature

I'm sorry to post this here but since alot of you guys have FI cars , I'm sure many of you have chipped your ECU's.

I'm using a 40Watt Iron currently for chipping ECU's , Is this too high ? What temp do you guys go with ?

I have a Hakko 508-1
40W Iron

i use 25watt iron from radio shack.

your iron is fine, just as anyone knows dont stay on the board longer than you need to make a good solder joint
