Default water pump questions?

can i put an ls water pump from a 95 to a gsr block will it fit and mount correcttly? will my timing belt stay loose with a 19 tooth water pump idleaizer or no?

Yes you can put a LS waterpump on a GSR b18c but you will need to use the LS timing belt aswell.

you can use it with the correct belt but it is not ideal or recommended

what? what ideal or not recomended?

the correct belt is the LS belt as the water pump has a different number of teeth on it as opposed to the GSR pump.

Just do it right the first time, a belt is what? 50 bucks?

so if i change my gsr pump i have to change my timing belt as well what about the teeth on the vtec cams arent they diffrent as well?

vtec pumps have more teeth and spin slower at higher rpms for more efficiency

ok, I'm make this simple

GSR timing belt needs GSR water pump
LS timing belt needs LS water pump

if you put LS water pump on GSR engine, use the LS timing belt.

Cam gears on b-series are all the same...Vtec has no difference on cam gears
