Need Top Dead Center help!
Just installed a new head on a 1991 Honda Accord EX. Last step is to adjust the lash on the rocker arms but 1st I need to get the set the engine to TDC. I read the manual but I noticed more than 1 mark on the timing gear, the one that appears in the timing window. There is a red mark and a few more that I see when I turn the engine, which line do I use. I tried a couple different marks thinking I was one #1 but when I turn the engine 180# I end up with the rotor facing #2 spark plug connection. should be facing #3. Can I get some advise on finding TDC?
There should be a white mark and a 'T' on the flywheel, the cam lobes for #1 cylinder will be pointing at 4'O'clock and 7'O'clock.
The cam pulley will have 2 marks at the outer edge to line up with the head.
The red mark is the mark for setting the timing with the engine running
