Car wont start, need help ASAP
k so this morning I go to start my car, and just like yesterday morning, it started, for like 3-4 seconds and died. So just like yesterday morning, I went with my red can and put some gas in. Unlike yesterday morning though, it didn't want to start after I put gas. It went from, starting for 3-4 secons and dying, to only starting (then dieing) when I started with the throttle open, to only wanting to start 1 of 5 times I tried, to what it is now, where it won't even start. I'll sometimes get wierd popping sounds while its cranking but, nothing. ANYone have an idea of what the problem could be?
I actually just recently had this issue with my 1995 Accord. At first the car used to start and run for about 5 seconds and then die. I would then try and start the car again and all it would do is click, like the starter wouldn't click over. I didn't want to go out and spend money on a starter because those can be pretty pricy. So, instead, I started with the basics; I went out and got a brand new, fresh battery. Ever since I got the new batterey, the car has been running great. But, you should also check to see if your gas is ok.
ok i shoud add its a 91 accord. its honestly the biggest piece of **** car ive ever owned, but its for my job (delivery)
I'll try adding more gas...see what happens. Because most of the time, the car is being driven on the gas red line (literally)
And let me rephrase whats happened to it
When I first tried cranking it, it would start and die whithin 5 seconds. Then it turned into cranking///sputtering, like it was trying to catch, but it couldn't hold it. Now it'll just crank all day long.
Someone told me it cooould be my distributor, possible?

If you pull a wire off a plug, place it against the engine block, do you get a spark when you crank? -- A way to test for "ignition." Yes, the distributor could be a problem.
After a lot of cranking, is there gas smell by the engine? -- A way to test for fuel. There is also a relief valve for gas by the intake manifold. If you open it when the car is not running, gas should squirt out.
(Maybee you should at least fill up to a quarter tank?)
How about your air and gas filters? They could be blocking things up.
