Unknown DTC
I have a 1998 Honda Accord EX with a check engine light on. I scanned it with a Generic Scan Tool and found P1457 code.
Does anyone one know what that code is?? Please help!! Thanks

From what I've read so far, it could be the gas cap. Make sure it's on right. (It may take a few drives to clear the code if the cap was the problem). My tether cord got trapped under the cap once, and caused the CEL. Good luck.
I think the gas cap should cause P1456 (EVAP leak, gas tank system).
That code P1457 could be caused by a few bad solenoid valves, including the EVAP purge valve on the firewall. The other valves are back at the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister for 1998 is located about underneath the car, below the left-rear seat. The EVAP vent-shut valve is a common one.
First, you could look for leaking or disconnected vacuum hoses around the EVAP canister & at the EVAP purge valve.
If you want to do more troubleshooting, check this one & scroll down to my post.
