Thinking of putting in a GSR engine

I might be able to get a good deal on a GSR block, if so I might put it in my hatchback.......any opinions?

Just the block? What kind of cyl head? If the whole engine, be prepared to shave lining under your hood to fit. Not unless you get a JDM, SiR, ZC hood. It will be sweet though...Good Luck! I have a GSR head on my LS and I would have opted for a GSR motor, but I couldn't get a reasonable price for a block nor an engine.

do it dude ihave a gsr in my hatch and i couldn't love it more its the best thing i ever did. and right now with stock internals and basic bolt ons ( header , intake, exhaust) it does 13.4 in the quarter at 101mph so from my point of veiw...its the right and only choice

13's stock is pretty sweet. How did you do the tranny? Because I know the GSR tranny, or maybe an LS one has a hydro clutch. If I get the block then I'm going to have to source a head to put on it.
