I have a set of HX wheels but I'm not sure from where to where I'm supposed to measure from. I measured it from edge to edge across and it was like 6". Seems like thats wider than I think. Anyone know?

 

Pretty sure they are 14x5.5 but I would measure from lip to lip. You could always put a bigger tire on it and make it a little wider.

 

The reason I ask is because I wanna put 215/60/15s on them but dont know if thats too wide of a tire for the rim

you can't put 215/60/15 on hx b/c those tires are meant for 15 inch rims...i'm sure that's what b164door meant...

whoops I meant 14, but typed 15. my bad

 

To my knowledge, you measure from inside of each lip(where the beed of the tire sits on the rim).

I've fit 205/55/14s on an hx rim. You could squeeze 215s on, but man 215/60 is going to be a tall *** tire!
