Default lsvtec starts great but after it warms up rpm's fluctuate.

Like the title says the idle seems to be fine when its cold but after it gets to operating temp it jumps from 1200-1900 and stays like that until I shut it off. I have searched and I believe its either an air bubble in the coolant, or it is my IACV. I will be reseting my idle speed tomorrow but I want to see if anyone else has had a similiar problem. I have no vaccum leaks to my knowledge. I do however have a weird setup on the coolant travel from my head. The second smaller coolant spout on the blox intake manifold that I installed has been rerouted to a t-fitting which goes to the throttle body in one direction, then travels in the oposite direction to the head coolant port. sounds really confusing. so basically it gets rerouted back into the head without getting cooled down. This could also be an issue. There was no other route that I had seen. Here is a pic of the t-fitting.

yeah i guess i may need to give it a good cleaning. It is also from an ls manifold so would that hurt that its on a gsr manifold? I wouldnt think so. I WANT YOUR 4 DOOR GSR!

I cleaned the IACV and nothing happened. It may have helped a small amount. Instead of idleing between 1200-1900 it is now idleing at 1200-1700. I am going to go set my idle screw lower and see what happens. At start up it idles at 1000-1100. Is that because the chipped p06 thinks there are 310cc injectors and its giving to much fuel? But wouldnt it want to choke out instead of idleing higher? I checked my brand new NGK plugs and they look to be running rich. My fuel pressure sits between 40-44 psi on 240cc injectors.

it could be your map sensor or your o2 sensor but my guess is the map sensor

Yea sounds like iacv to me. I have an extra iacv that I fully cleaned and was working properly when I took it off of my gsr if u need one let me know. When I did a type-r swap the gsr iacv doesn't match up so its useless to me now along wit the rest of the gsr parts taking up my garage.

well when i unplugged mine, i tried to drive with it like that and it will get to about 2500 and then creates what seems to be an infinite loop of jumping up to 2500 then back to 2000. so it almost sounds like an irratic idle but only on acceleration. it wont go past 2500 with the IACV unplugged. Im stumped. I just changed out the map and didnt want to startle anyone with no muffler (its 3am here) I will post tomorrow to see if that helped.

Most likely the FITV needs adjusting. Second guess would be MAP. But could be a ripped throttle body gasket, a vacuum leak, or coolant needs to be bled.

Well I dont have a FITV that im aware of. In the Helms is says that a FITV is only on Automatics. I hope its the map sensor. Throttle body gasket looks good, the password jdm IM gasket looks good too. I sprayed carb cleaner everywhere and no vaccum leak that I could find. I also cant find that nipple that everyone talks about for bleeding the coolant. Ive looked below the vtec solenoid and there's nothing there but the coolant spout for the head. And I have a block heater in the front coolant drain left of the header where others have mentioned a bleeding valve. Does the 96+ RS integra have one?
