What do you mean the number?You referring to the bearing size?You need to plastiguage and check the clearance then run the appropriate bearings to get the desired clearance.Get some ACL's and check the you might have to replace one or two but normally there are close.

i know that. when i use the color/number chart i need to know the number on the rod to match it with the letter on the crank to get a proper bearing
