Got some water in the motor, now car runs like shit. Help!
well my brother just picked up a honda civic cx, and we just had changed out the gasket because it blew. we changed it and a week later the car ran like ****. it barely accelerates. we took off the intake tube and it had snow in it. i guess we might have sucked some snow in. the car still runs though, what do you guys think the problem would be?
If you can get it warm enough to melt the snow, do that, take off the intake tube, pull the plugs, and crank the motor to get any significant water out of the cylinders, and just let everything dry out. Of course you are going to want to do this in a relatively dry garage.
If that doesn't take care of it, I'd pull the intake manifold and let it dry that way.

well i guess he had drove the car a while with some snow in the intake tube, its a stock intake. he didn't know it though until he got home. we had a few feet of snow here. do you guys think he bent a rod or valve?

Pump the water out first. Take the plugs out and turn the engine over. Don't do it by the starter though, spin the flywheel in neutral or jack it up 'n spin the wheel.
Then let it air out for a day or so w/o the plugs in it, to let the remaining water evaporate...then it's time for the leak down test.
You might have hydrolocked it and cracked the block - which is why it's running like ****. Not sure though, leakdown will tell you that for sure.
EDIT:
Just in case anybody was wondering, no just because the block is cracked it isn't always noticeable on the outside (usually isn't). Small crack through a thing stock cylinder wall will give you a leak into the coolant jacket around the cylinders. Which is horrible and catastrophic to your engine - but not noticeable from outside the motor.
