Did your new flamer sub not come with a spec sheet?
Are you not capable of going to Audiobahn's website to get the information you seek?

Kind of depends on what kind of sub bass you are looking for.
Do you want tight, clean and accurate sub bass, or the kind the shakes the rear view mirrors on the car 2 lanes over?
Tight, clean and accurate is easy, sealed box.
The kind the the guy 2 lanes over can hear is harder and more expensive, vented/ported box.

Your going to use an 800W amp to drive an 1100W sub?
Be careful with the amp gain, that sub will suck the life out of that amp, or you will just burn the subs VCs to a crisp.

You could run it with a 100W amp and it would work, however when "underpowered" you must be careful not to over-drive the amp into constant clipping, it is not the lack of power that damages the speaker, it's driving the amp into constant clipping that will burn the VCs.
So just be aware that if you try and get the full performance out of the sub, which you can't with the underpowered amp, you will damage the sub.
When you get a new amp, get a 1200W RMS into 2 ohms, "it's better to be over-powered then underpowered"
