Anyone know about bodywork and paint?
Can anyone estimate how much it'll cost for a body shop to remove my radiator support, weld a new one in, and paint; 1 hood, 2 fenders, and the front bumper? As you can probably tell, I was in an accident. All responses are appreciated.
Who pissed in your oatmeal this morning? I ordered my parts yesterday and I wont have enough time to call around to body shops and visit them first hand to see their work until friday. I just wanna know what I should be expecting and what would be fair for this amount of work. If you can't answer that then I just ask that you let someone else do it instead.

he's probably driving with his knee. hahaha. a friend of mines got a estimate for around 500 to paint his hood, roof top, and trunk for the oem paint. The funny thing is if he want a custom paint by them, they will charge 500. See any price difference? nope.
anyone can get a paintjob for cheap. I see so many cars that have aftermarket paintjobs and look like ***. You pay for what you get. You want something that will last and look good at the same time. Maaco isn't the way to go
thats a nice paint sneezin. you said you charge 500-700 for the whole car including shaved side moldings and fixing dents? because this other guy on here gave me a quote of 1000. and i got a quote from a shop for 700. Maaco quoted me $2000, and their paint wasn't better than the one i seen for 700.
No you are looking at alittle more if you want all that done but you pay for what you get. All of my jobs are taken as it was my own car. No short cuts taken here. And I only Use PPG products.
Here is a link of my brothers (Hybrid93Hatch) Ek I painted last year.

I had the exact same problem, with my 5th Gen Accord.
I went a few days ago to get a quote, and it's $500.
He's doing the front bumper, hood, fenders and a small touch up on the metal above the driver mirror, and he does amazing work.
And to weld in a rad support a shop usually charges about an hour for that. I'm sure the paint shop can do that, so you're look at $550-$600.
He quoted me $2500 to re-spray the entire car. Unfortunetely, I won't be doing that, just the front end, make it look decent.
All prices are in CDN and paid cash obviously.
SneezinCD5 your work looks amazing, any close ups?
If you were around here, I'd pay you to do my entire car lol

Which part of CA are you located? I know most of the workers at M1 Autobody. They're located in El Monte I would recommend these guys. They have a two-stage process not one like maaco. To weld the new front radiator support paint fenders/bumpers hood and check if the frame is straight also for 600 bucks.
good supplies will cost 700 alone...idk about labor but my uncle did mine and he used ppg and we looked at over $1000+ for the whole car of course and a few extra goodies so u can see from that alone what your getting. labor now thats another story.
