my engine is losing compression in two cylinders, so i need a new one. i was thinkin of goin w/ a b16 but i dunno if i can afford it, so i was lookin at a d16z6.
What kind of 1/4 mile times would i expect from a d16z6, and how much am i looking to spend w/ this setup? what is involved in this setup. i know my tranny will bolt up to the engine, what else do i need?

I'm putting a d16y8 with and obd-I p28 ecu in my crx, and i'll let ya all know what I run
I think it should be comparable to a ZC, give or take.

I've got a 90 STD with a D16Z6 running a 88 Teg ECU, also have the SI and a 90 Teg gonna run this thursday night and see which works the best. Hopefully will hit high 15's because our local track suxs. Just using it til get my LS/Vtec built. Was orginally gonna build the Z6 but ran accross the LS for real cheep so gonna build it. It was quite an improvement for me seeing mine was the 70 HP mean machine. I think I will be happy for a little while at least

I ran a Z6 in my 89 Hatch Si, and had a bunch of bolt ons and some internals. I was getting 15.02-15.03 at 92-93 mph, with 2.2 to 2.3 60ft. times. The motor was later dynoed, and was putting out 125 hp at the wheels (with much fewer bolt ons). If I had to guess what the hp was when I ran those times, I would have to say somewhere around 135 hp.
