1- is there any computer chip for R18 or not yet?

I think you might be able to get a Nav system from a US website, but I am not sure how useful it would be. I don't think maps for the Middle East are available for any US shipped Nav system. Not sure how compatible aftermarket map CD's or chips would be either.

It also might be hard to ship to the Middle East. Shipping anything electronic to Middle East is a hassle. Pertty sure you have to find a US Company with distribution in the Middle East. That might be hard to find.

If you want, I can check with my people in Bangalore and see if they have any suggestions. Let me know.


I could be wrong though.

thanx alot , i was hoping to find on ebay but no use , about the map i think it will work here cause it should be worldwide , but they don't bring the full option civic for us , i mean the one with the Nav

I dont recall seeing any OE nav unit with "worldwide" maps avaliable...

 

GPS is a US Department of Defense project initially. They still control the technology and I doubt they want it to be available to consumers in the middle east.

Considering that you can't buy video game consoles because of their ability to function as a computer, I don't think you'll find GPS that'll work for you anytime soon.

by the way , GPS is available in most of our cars i the Middle east
