Scramblers
I've been lookin into a radar detector and i have a friend who wants a scrambler for his car and we found some good deals on them. Are scramblers illegal? if so in what states cause pretty much nothing is illegal in montana. lol we are now the last state to outlaw open container in a vehicle.

"Scramblers" don't work. Don't buy one. Black widow, rocky mountain radar, whatever--they're all shams. A real jammer is very hard to come by.

Except laser jammers, lasers are regulated by the FDA so its fair game. Driving with your high beams on will reduce laser range.

*nod*. Only thing is I've been reading about pressure for the FDA to regulate that. I'm sure they will come out with some bogus thing after lobbying about how the jammers could blind innocent bystanders or the officer using the laser gun himself...

No, no man. I was talking about a radar jammer. Lidar is only a few hundred. There are like K40 (I own a k40 cb antenna where they established their reputation), a beltronics I believe, and one other brand being the leaders. Man, I'm tipsy already off two or three shots of 140 shine :D
