Default PLEASE HELP!..Idle on 94 accord vtec

Hey everyone I just joined and am in desperate need of some kind of advice. I have a 94 accord ex vtec and my idle is extremely off. About 5 seconds after I start my car the rpm's begin to bounce from about 1000 to almost 3000 and I have no idea what is going on??! Any advice please let me know I would greatly appreciate it...

Do you have any CEL's? Have you eliminated any possible culprits? You can try adjusting it using the Idle control screw. Located on the firewall side of the MAP sensor.

My first post here was with the exact same problem, but unlike the people that told me to go use the search and were ****** about it at times Im gonna tell ya.

It could be one or a combo of these thing
1. a clogged IACV
2. Clogged egr valve or maybe replace the sensor
3. Check the vacuum lines

Might have forgotten something tho

There's also a tutorial on cleaning the fast idle thermo valve on accord faq's...that could be it also.

yea the cooling system is what my buddy was tellin me about he said to make sure the car is running when i fill it up because it eliminates all the air pockets which could cause a problem..also i think it may have something to do with my thermostat bc my car will heat up when idle with the idle still bouncing but once heated up and i begin to drive my temp. gauge drops down to cold?? any ideas?
