Default seatbelt chime... off?

Hi all,

I have a 2007 accord, and I'm trying to get rid of that annoying chime when my seatbelt isn't on... anyone know if there's a way to do that?

Thanks!

Well, that's obviously the right answer, isn't it?

Anyone else?

One way would be to buy a seatbelt latch from a junk yard and just keep it plugged in, except when you are wearing your real seatbelt of course.

I do not condone not wearing you're seatbelt. but heres how i'd do it

theres wires that run up the connector. just touch them together and it'll go off

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TX3VBbf28Vo this is you, if you dont wear your seatbelt.

Since this is yourlife, and taxpayers pays for the emergency stuff, wear it. Dont waste our money.

Anyways if you really wanna do it, just click it in first. Then get in. So your back will be touching the seatbelt. Or if you wanna get fancy, get one from a junk yard that matches your clip. and just clip it in.

^^^^^Holy ****! i think the "anoyance" of wearing a seatbelt is much better than ending up like that guy. OP, its your life, and our money, we value both, so wear your seatbelt

I knew this kid that worked at the shop next door to my work, he was family of the owners. One day, on the 5 o'clock news I saw this breaking story about some local accident. I listened and saw the car, thought "that looks like the kids car next door at work" cause I would see him everyday on the way to work because he lived not to far from me. Later the next day I found out it was him. Turns out he made a U turn and was t-boned. He was driving a T-top Thunderbird. He didn't have his seatbelt on and was thrown from the car. His uncle, also his boss, was driving by the accident and actually got out to give him CPR but he didn't make it. Granted he made an illegal turn but if he had his seatbelt on I bet chances are he wouldn't have died. Wear your seatbelt, car manufactures put them in for a reason.

now, if your going to wear your selt belt but still get annoyed by the noise because i do when i have my car on and im working on it or something, the do what i told you. I believe its just a switch in there that grounds it out when you click it. but still, just put on your seat belt, its always nice to have a reminder.

wow, people are making all sorts of assumptions on this forum... i understand i should wear a seatbelt, i do. I still want to get rid of the chime for the extreme cases when i don't. I'm not asking for an opinion on whether i should wear a seatbelt or not.

So anyone has any clue as to do this, something similar to what subaru owners do in my previous post's link?

Thanks

being more clear on what your intending on doing will prevent people from assuming things.

In that case, I would pull the seatbelt out and click it in place.
