Default How to check the year of the Engine

Hi guys, I need a little help here. How to check the year of the engine? Is there any lablels or indications on the engine?? Mine is a D16y8

Well, you have a Y8 .... it has to be from 96-00. Does it have it's original transmission on it? If so, can run the VIN through CarFax to find out about the car it came from.

It should say on the head in a little circle with the year in it. Something like 9/9 but with the circle around it. That will be a 1999 head. Get the point.

The vin should look like this

#HGEJ8###<FONT COLOR="red"><u>X</u></FONT>A######

For X:

T: 1996
V: 1997
W: 1998
X: 1999
Y: 2000
