there are millions of people with cam gears.. so your telling me to set it to 0?.. all im saying is it ok to notch to make up for that? with my cam gear on 0 my low end is gone.. i have a 105300 cam.. i can put it at 2 and maybe notch less anything below 2 i might as well get out and push the car from idle to 3000rpm

70% of the people with cam gears have it for looks. unless you get the car tuned(and tuner adjusts it for best power) or you have a milled head cam gears are basically pleasing to the eye.

you should never have to notch your distributer. my guess is you just adjusted for what feels best to you. i still wouldnt notch the dizzy

i havent brought it on the dyno but i do know advancing my cam gear gives me alot better low end, its horrible to drive with my cam gear on 0..i can floor it and just bog bog bog, till 3k rpm.. i mean im not even exaggerating, im talking 5-10 miles an hour till 3krpm with the car floored, what do i do?

tuning brings out the true power in your cams...just keep that in mind. convert to obd1 and use crome.

what is so bad about notching the distributor though, if i notch it i will still be at the stock 16* setting.. and 3* on the cam gear, is that bad?..
