Default Comptech Short Shifter



edit: nevermind i figured it out. but im just having trouble removing the blue piece off the ball joint. any suggestions would be helpful

really gotta pull hard with the supplied tool

ALSO!
lay a towel underneath the shifter/ball so when it goes flying off u dont lose it

hey..i just received my comptech ss and all i got was the short shifter peice 2 screwes and the loctite...

Use the tool supplied. You really got to pull to get the sucker off. Btw, put towl or something down to cover the open space in your console. The last thing you want to do when the Blue cap comes off, is have to fish it out of the bottom of the center console.

when i went to pop off the blue piece i tilted the tool upwards a little bit.

when the blue piece popped off it flew all the way on my rear deck, i think you guys should do the same, better then taking the whole center console apart which i ended up doing that any ways

Try knotching a peice of wood (1/2 plywood), and see if that works. I think the chances are null of getting one from Comptech at this point.

that was my problem to. i didnt get that tool. i finally got it off though. i sat pulling long and hard. i used two 1/2 open end wrentches. took me like quite a while.

put a towel in the massive void around the shifter so that cap doesnt fall down into the abyss.
