Im looking into buying this motor, but the owner has no papers on it, the block still has all of the codes on it? If I ran a carfax on the totaled car it came out of, would that tell me wether or not the car was stolen? is there a place where I can run the engine code?

 

carfax would have said if it was stolen. If you really want to know for sure though take the code to your local courthouse and they will run it for you.
