It probably just says if the car was reported stolen or not. I doubt it gives an engine code.

it won't give engine code, but it will say what kinda car is it, they will be able to differenciate between a ls, and a gsr

why, are you running a stolen motor? other than that you really wouldnt need to worry about what a cop can find out.

...on a side note, when they run plates it tells who the car is licensed to, the vin is the issued car, if the plates are expired, if the plates are listed as stolem, and the warrant status of the vehicle owner. when they run a vin, it only tells them wether or not that vin is listed as stolen.
