Need help passing smog ECU question
Hi,
I live in cal and I've been having trouble passing smog with high nox in my 92 civic hb manual. At first I thought it was my timing because I changed the distributor and didn't do an adjustment. Now, after the adjustment, it still does not pass. About a couple of years ago, I shorted out the ecu and replaced it with an equivalent P05 ecu, which is from a civic CX. Does anyone know what is causing my car to fail? I thought the p05 is nearly identical except for the 1 wire O2 censor. Engine is completely stock. Do I really need a P06 ecu? Thanks!
