Okay I recently converted my auto to manual. I have been practicing driving for the past 2 weeks and everything was fine. Well this past weekend I took my car in to get my inspection and it hasn't been right every since. The guy that performed my inspection claims that his computer went down in the middle of inspection so I wasted my morning. Anyways, my problem is this. The tranny shifts fine just as it always have. Every gear goes in smooth with no grinding or any issue as far as shifting. My problem is, that while in the gears, my car seems as thought it doesn't want to go anywhere. Almost like i am loosing the tranny or something. For instance if I am normally at 2500rpm's while doing 40, now at the same speed it does like 4000-5000rpms. Like all its doing is reving. Its like am i am in gear but not. There was this burning smell as well and when I finally got her home, I popped the hood and there was this light smoke that seemed to vent out from the hole where the h22 writing is stamped as you look thru to the flywheel. I am still running the stock auto p13 but the tcu isn't hooked up so that isn't the problem. No cels at all. I am waiting for my tuner to get his ROM editor working in order to run my s200 w/p72 ecu. I am new to 5spd so I don't know symtoms of failing components or troubleshooting. Oh and I attempted searching but I don't know how to really classify this.

oh really. but its a brand new clutch. exedy stage one to be exact. i did the install myself and everything was torqued to spec. considering it was fine in the begining, could it be possible that the dude screwed it up with trying to inspect it. i only have like 55 or so miles on the clutch. i was trying to break it in slow and at the same time learn to drive it. i don't buck or anything. every now and then i might stall it and it cuts off but thats it. i have been getting better. Oh and thanks for the response guys. i was thinking it was alotttt worse. i was almost thinking of just giving up on this car that I have so much love for. so is the only way to check to see if the clutch is slipping is to take off the tranny.

to add to that, i used new clutch components. i ebayed though, but the kit was from a seller with excellent comment ratings. i got the flywheel resurfaced as well. i used the align tool too. oh well. i guess i will get a shop to fix this considering i don't want to deal with this problem again for awhile. but it seems as though my disk is glazed over or something. is this what happens with a bad install or improper breakin on the clutch. maybe i rode the clutch or something, shoot i don't know. next clutch i get will be a ACT i guess. i wanted a cheaper like disk to practice and get use to.
Need yr help... I hv swapped H22a DOHC Vtec Manual LSD tranny to Accord 91', it is powerful. But, recently, both of my wheels dryshaft got sound and need to be replaced. I found that, with this new H22a, the tranny and the wheel having an huge offset. How to solve? If I want to change with other tranny, what is the model that suite to the H22a engine and reduce/solve the offset issue?
Thanks
Thanks

i was thinking the same as far as glazing, but i don't see how. i don't ride it. i was letting off the clutch to soon in some cases and it would buck a little but i don't see how what i did would glaze it over so quick. i wasn't hard launching or anything. one minute it was fine, and the next after i let someone else try to get the car on the inspection rollers, it goes out. after doing some searching on here about clutch slipping, i see most are with the brand i have in which i thought was a good one. i will got ACT next go around. even if i was riding the clutch while learning to drive, i don't think it should go out in 2 weeks. i remember replacing my main seal when i did this swap. and since i was breaking in my clutch slow, i wasn't reving it high and when the dude did his inspection, i could hear him rev high and perhaps, it caused my main seal to give way a lit than it would under low rpms. there was a small portion on my seal in which the lip around the edge didn't tuck like it should. i bet this is my problem. thanks for the replies though.
