Default problems!!!!!!!!!

this is a tranny problem its an automatic 90 accord ex now when i go and slow down to stop on a stop sign i can feel when the first gear kicks in. when it does that the u can feel it. but this is not the problem
my car starts at 1st gear and then goes to 3rd gear. the "s" light blinks but the thing is that when i shut the car down and restart it the S light don't blink anymore. i tryed to see if i can get a code but nothing comes on. so i can't get a code from it.

now this is the same problem i had 1 year ago with my old tranny. then i could see some black things in the tranny oil. then my tranny went out.

but the thing is that with this transmision eventhough i am having the same symtoms as the old tranny,,,,, the oil in this one is good. its all red. it don't look or smell burn. and the car runs strong.
might this be a tcm problem or a cable shifter problem can this two things make the auto tranny go bad with the passing of the time.???????

I don't really know what's different about reading codes on a '90... But doesn't it store the code so you can read it even if the light has gone out?

Does '90 have the system where you look at a flashing LED on the ECU & TCU themselves?

yeah it has. but once i turn off the car and try to get the code nothing comes up and the tranny works fine. this is the same problem that i had with the first tranny. so i am leaning towords a bad conection or something.
