Called the ngk rep told me to gap the plugs to .040 and try that, also was told this is signs of the egr system the ports on the intake? possibly i got a bad o2 sensor? all are some my ideas. any input will greatly be appreciated.

Seems silly, but is your air filter clean. I haven't really heard of a problem like this so I'm sorta just throwing things out.
Here is a site on reading plugs:

I'm guessing you have already looked at something like that.
When reading two-stoke plugs(the only experience I have) you will replace the plug, and then drive in the range in question(1/4 throttle, or 1/2 ect) for a few miles, then kill the engine and coast to a stop. Pull the plug and look at it. That seems alittle extreme in your case as there shouldn't be a problem with the mixture. It almost has to be something(sensor) that controls the mixture. I don't really know enough about these cars, but I'm interested to find out what's up.
Good luck.
