Default ls-vtec block guard(searched)

Alright I am about to purchase a block guard for my build and I have searched and didn't find anything solid. i have been told you buy the guard for the block you are using it is and also I have been told you buy the one for the head you are going to use. I am pondered and I am just wondering which one i need to purchase so i can resume my slow moving ls/vtec build. So do I use a b18a block guard of a b16 or gsr block guard, I am useing a b16 head. Thanks Guys

common sense here. the block guard has nothing to do with the head.

It will be fine without the blockguard, spend the money on something useful instead
