wondering if the first gen 2001-2003(or whatever it is, with the 2.0L ) has an ecu immobilizer?

true but aem ems doesnt make it bar'able

 

for the immobilizer is it a special key? cause my key looks exactly the same as my EM1. Is there a "chip" in side our s2k keys?

 

i cant remember exactly but i think there is a chip in the key, and a receiver in the key cylinder(ignition cylinder) and a part in the ecu.

people were doing swaps of RSX engines when they first came out and i remember hearing them say "swapping the key cylinder, and ecu and getting a key cut"

but now people like hondata take that **** out... so no biggie.... hmmm wonder if they can do that with the s2000 ecu???

 

yeah theres a chip i got a key that just works for my doors it was like 50 dollars and 100 for one that works for every thing for my SI it was only 3 dollars for a key hahaha
