built motor wont start..
well ive had the s300 in my car for almost a year and have came across a problem. the car has been sitting for a couple of months while i built a new motor. the issue is that the ecu light will be green for a few seconds then go red after the fuel pump primes just wondering what this means??? i sure its something electrical but not sure what? the motor is 75.5mm wisecos, eagles, calico coated bearings fully balanced and blueprinted. port and polished head, crower springs and retainers t3/t04e 50 trim. thanks for your help.
Okay, you've told us that the ECU lights up. Does the car turn over? If so, do you smell fuel? Is your mechanical timing correct? Do you have a map loaded on to your car? I prefer to use free engine management so I'm not down with how S300 works. Pardon me for my ignorance.

Did I, or anyone for that matter, hate on S300? I have had zero problems with Crome (the free version), so don't get all butt hurt that my free system runs just fine.
To the OP - You've verified that the motor has fuel/spark? The map on your ECU can't just "go away," something has to have changed. Verify that you indeed have both spark/fuel, make sure your mechanical timing is set, and make sure all of your sensors are hooked up properly. If your fuel/spark are there when they need to be, the motor should start up.

Ever try dyno'ing a motor that won't start?
BTW, the fuel map can just 'go away' due to electro-static discharge, among other things. Its rare and only time it happened to me was one time I was handling a chip, and guess what - it would start, hardly idle, then die. Reburned (same map & chip), and it worked perfect.
OP: did it run with all those engine mods before? Its possible for gas to go bad after a while, so maybe top off the tank with new 93octane, then do the normal fuel system checks/maintenance.

i can get my old map off of the ecu and load a map to the ecu. another thing that has changed is that im on the newer version of hondatat sofware. but i have no feedback from any sensors on the car. the only thing that has changed on the car is the motor itself.
