their austin cd41 seems like a pretty good deal without any stupid gimmicks. wat do you guys think about it? i'm also impressed with their new saucer speakers too. opinions?

 

Their HU's are a good sound quality head unit. If you can get a good deal on them, go for it. Not many people think too highly of blaupunkt but they do make some good quality stuff. Personally, I don't like the way they look, but you can't deny their sound quality output.

 

The only experience I have with Blaupunkt is their new Class T amps. I will say this though, it's one of the best designed amps I've had and I'll get the same kind when I get a new car! I can't rave about it enough! But I know that's not what you're in the market for, so I won't go on. But yeah, they are a "name brand", particularly among the Euro market.

no and their ugly too.. I'd stick w/ ///Alpine, Pioneer Premier, Eclipse/Fujitsu Ten, Nakamichi for my car.. your money its up to you on what you spend it on I guess..

 

they are good stuff . it may not keep up with alpine and nakamichi, but they are good. their casablanca model specs exceed most pioneer and other brands. their signal to noise ratio is very high and internal amps are strong. not to mention the super strong FM sensitivity. the only down thing about blaupunkt headunit is that their internal amp gets hot fast. when it gets hot, sound quality downgrades just a tad bit.

 

Exactly what GSTeg said... Blaupunkt are nothing to shy away from. The San Jose in particular is a very good sound quality deck. Give them a listen and decide for yourself, but I really don't think you will be dissappointed with Blaupunkt if you can get past hte looks.

Some people like blaupunkts, thats why they are still in business... Maybe you don't, good for you. Its a matter of opinion, not fact.

thats why i posted here . .. . i know the facts i juss wanted to kno if any of u guys had experience with the product. i personally like the looks.

 

my friend has that unit..not bad..has a nice blue lcd screen...
