Alpine =

It depends on which model you pick up, they aren't necessarily expensive.

too ricey? if a deck has the features you want, who cares about the looks? looks are nothing when it comes to sound and available options. i mean i would buy a HU that looked like someone took a **** on my console and stuck some beans in it for buttons, but hell if it was one technilogically advanced pice of ****, i might consider it...

A 'ricey' HU? ...That doesn't fit right.

i was considering the 9807 2, but i guess u can say the "riceyness" of it kind of turned me off, as did the rca outputs. its got 2 much bling for me. really silver. also, i like the bigger face without the slot on it. it only has one 4v output i think. cheap though. around 200. if you didnt want that much rice, and dont care if its green, theres the 9811.

Practically my whole car is Alpine electronics from their CDA 7949 Head Unit, to their 2 prcoessors I have - PRA H400 & ERA G320. I also have one of their 6 disc changers as well custom mounted in my glove box.

I love thier products. Will always keep buying them in the future!

I have an Alpine Head, 7863, about 4 years old. I love it, its great. With the revolving face plate, I was sure something would break, but it still works.

Alpine makes good stuff, but their motorized faceplates occasionally get goofy and don't work very well.
