Default Whats a good header?

whats a good header for an all motor setup that wont interfere with ride hieght? i see many 4-1 headers get banged up alot with cars that are slammed, would it be a bad idea to run like a 4-2-1? i like to ride low but still want to run a good header.

Its all in the setup.

If you don't drive ignorant then you won't bang your header up. I had a 2.5 inch downpipe and my car is really low and I never once bang'd it on anything.

As a matter of fact, my collector was 3 inchs from the ground. No dents.

I'll be running a JDM ITR header on my ls/vtec setup untill I can select a better header. I'm still in the research phase because I'm a boost head turn'd Na.

I'll ask the question so others can help you more.

What will your setup be?

a good custom header like smspy, hytech, or rmf will have excellent ground clearance and make the power you want.

setup: EG hatch, GSR bottom w/b16 head; high comp guesstimating within the 12.xx:1; plan to be somewhat daily driven or atleast a weekend warrior.
i searched the topic, but there were none really specifically relevant to my question, i was just looking for something that would optimize performance, yet not be so hazardous to drive; ride hieght.... car sits 3.25" low on sprint springs w/4 way adjs.
as far a price, i dont plan on spending more than 500 on a header.

look into the rage or the highend header. i had the highend header, its the smsp copy, got it for 500 shipped, from mike at highend autosports, great guy . chossing a header is like chossing between chevy, ford or dodge. all matter of opinion. or u can go the jg edelbrock header, cheap from summit, like 139 shipped, do the 2.5 in collector mod. they make really good power. its what i have on my 12:1 ls/v now. car is to be tuned april 6th, ill post the results..
