Tri y or megaphone header
Pros and cons, been a bit of a debate in the UK about what is better the tri y headder or the rmf megaphone headder, thought I would ask our friends over the pond.... Sorry if it starts as many arguments as it did our end.

You can have a tri-y with a megaphone. Not sure what you are looking for.
Really depends on your setup and what you are using it for.
You can have a tri-y with a Merge collector, straight tube collector with or without megaphone.
Sounds more like you want to know the differences between a 4 - 1 header and a 4 - 2 - 1 (tri-y) header. In that case each has its pros and cons, depending on your engine setup and it's intended use.

4-2-1 and megaphone are not exclusive.
If you're talking about 4-1 vs 4-2-1 with designs being equal (as in same proficient manufacturer, not x company vs y company), then basically 4-1 for all-out drag racing, 4-2-1 for everything else assuming both are designed correctly.

^^^While this is generally true, Burns has done testing with extensive tuning of not only the primaries, but also the secondaries (which are somewhat neglected) in the 4-2-1 design. Though it is much more complicated, supposedly even better gains in the whole RPM range can be had from a proper 4-2-1 header. Though I don't believe it's been said before, I think this is the idea behind SMSP's 4-2-1 headers, though I say without knowing all his specs

I remember reading that article on Jack Burns back when I first started looking into making headers for my builds in 07. After reading it I called Burns and started talking to them! Great customer service, good prices and I love the fast shipping as well.
September 15/03 HotRod Magazine Article on Jack Burns Great read if you are looking to talk/debate header designs.

Haha thanks for the link. I actually did find that on google, although it was over a year ago or so, I just remembered it . I have to use google and H-T, I have no other resources (like people to talk to in person that know about this stuff).
