Default engine swap ?

alright im sure this topic has been posted on over n over again but i cant seem find wat i need 2 know, ABOUT how much would it cost for a full b16 engine swap with everything in 2 a 96 civic, i heard it was kinda troublesome...

so since it would be around 2500 would it be a better idea to boost my D that has 150000mi on it for about the same price?

You can build a turbo kit yourself for $1000-1500 and make it reliable.

depends on what you want to do. jdm swaps generally have low miles. can never be certain though.

i ended up going with a swap since im in cali, and i wanted everything to be legal. so it was either a greddy kit, or swap. i went with the swap.

since you are in cali man, i would personally try to make something legit and legal to fall back on, whether it be a greddy kit carb sticker, or a bar'ed engine swap...that way if you get in to issues, you have some kind of backup. otherwise, you swap in a 92 b16 into your 96 civic, get pulled over, popped hood, and you, my friend, are fvcked.

$2500 for all and if you do it your self save you some labor Honda swaps are hella easy to do trust me its just plug and play and just bolts right in
