As a cheap, and somewhat temporary alternative to the expensive oem exhaust manifold, I feel that ebay headers are fine. (the one i used for 5 months was) But if you are looking for an actual performance header, then I believe you should spend some real money. 2 things you should always remember: You get what you pay for, and if it seems to good to be true, then it probably is. But there are always exceptions to every rule.

build quality on them all seems to be the same.. adequate at best..

but theyre just that adequate

they have to flow better than stock stuff.. and theyre cheap.. they hold up ( i had one on a zc for over a year.. no problems.. even kept its color) i have another one (ceramic coated) in the mail right now

go for it.. worst case scenerio youre out $50

big deal

I believe since we are talking in general about the "headers available on ebay" and there are more than one type of header on ebay, it is plural

EXAMPLE:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by civicdxguy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what type of brands of ebay headers are there and what brands are the best. i know you get what you spend. thanks for any help. </TD></TR></TABLE>

If he had said "what type of brands of ebay header are there...", would that make sense? I think not.

pay some more $$ up front and buy name-brand headers. don't mess around with ebay crap unless your broke and the headers/manifold u have it cracked/broken.

If you have no dyno proof and/or arent building an N/A monster, then who cares? People always **** on ebay headers (plural since like someone said, we are talking about MULTIPLE headers available on a website) and other ebay products just because it doesnt have a brand name attached. I can see shitting on SSAC turbo manifolds since there is documented cases of the **** breaking, but we are talking about bolt on headers.

I have an ebay header. Works fine. Fitment is good. No rust. No cracks. No problems since 2003. I went from turbo back to N/A and i had thrown away my OEm manifold. Honda wanted some ungodly amount for it and didnt find one on here, so I bought the header for liek 50 shipped...not sure. Works fine for what I need it to do.

People who should care are people actually building an N/A car...and if they are ebay headers wont be a concern for them since they will be dumping an assload of money on their car anyway.

I've heard good things about these for being so cheap. Probably your best bet.

Be careful with the cheap headers. A friend of mine bought headers from ebay and installed them on his prelude. After about two months the flange broke on them and his car sounded like an airplane. He said it wasn't worth the money

@ OP:
You're boosted...

Are you talking about a regular header or a turbo manifold? I wouldn't trust a turbo mani from there, but as for a regular header, maybe.

In my opinion it really depends on what motor you have, see, if you have a D series, you're not going to get much HP gain from a header anyway, so why spend 300+ dollars for a name brand one when you can get an ebay one that nets you 2 less HP for 1/5 the price. A header (of any make) won't give you a big upgrade in terms of power anyways on a D, so I say don't bother.

On a B, or something that responds better to bolt-ons, I'd have to say that it's probably worth spending the money, depending on A) Budget, B) HP Goals, C) income flow, and D) The price vs type of engine.

That's just my thoughts on the matter, good luck in deciding .
