Does anyone know if i would be able to use the stock door triggers(the L shaped black things) and hook them up to an alarm? If so, anyone know a good place to tap into that wire and what color combo it is? This is for an 89 CRX Si. Thanks

btw - my alarm did come with the door triggers but it looks like a hassle to install when i can just use the stock ones.

Just pull the trigger out of the door jamb and hook your negative trigger alarm wire to it. It should catch both doors so just hook it up to one.

 

you mean splice the wire to it? sounds good. i'll try it tomarrow.

 

There's probably an easier place to get it. Don't have access to my program here though.

 

The door wire is green red and the hatch is green black. Here's the location:

"Harness running down and forward from dash indicator has door and hatch triggers."

 

well i installed them today.. for some reason none of the wires were connected to the door triggers. I had to reconnect them so i spliced my wires in. I didnt know the hatch had one too. I'll do the hatch tomorrow. Thanks

 

i went out and looked at the hatch... where exactly is the hatch triggers?

You wil need to grab the pass. door to catch both doors. The drivers trigger is isolated for only the drivers door.

 

i had to hook the wire up to each door jam trigger... the hatch doesnt seem to have a trigger..
