Drain oil/coolant/trans fluid

Undo all hoses/etc.

Remove intake/ex mani/dp/ps/ac

pull axles

hook engine up on the cherry picker

remove motor mounts (dissassemble the tranny one in 2 parts)

pull engine/tranny at an angle with the tranny lower then other side

no u dont need to take the intake manifold off, just the air intake. The motor mounts are just basically big bolts. u shouldnt need anything other than just the right socket or wrench. Once u have the engines weight supported by the cherry picker they should be easy to remove. dont forget to disconnect all the wiring harness connectors and have an idea of how they were set up. (even though I dont think that many, if any of them will fit in the wrong place) when u say u r giving the engine away to be rebuilt do u mean they are rebuilding it for you or do u mean that they are keeping it and you are putting in a new engine? oh yeah and one more thing, if you dont have a engine leveler I would reccomend borrowing one before you go to put the engine back in. it will make your life a lot easier.

Cut top of bolt off with grinder, air chisel the nut off, will prolly also mess up the threads on the end of the axle though.

Buy a real impact gun or get a big *** 1/2" drive breaker bar.

i learned you should always crack the axle nuts loose first...put the car on the ground..preferably not smooth garage floor concrete

its real easy for the castle nuts on the axles.. if you have a centercap on your wheels that you can take off and see the nut, take it off, have someone hold the brake pedal, and go after them with a 1/2 inch breaker bar. easy as pie

Add a pipe like someone else mentioned so you can create more torque.

Have someone hold the break and basically you will stand and jump on the other end to break the bolt loose.

Just make sure when you break it you have something to catch your fall.
