Now, i def have an electrical problem...
I have a 94 accord. The lights in my dash board shut out. i can't see my mph, rpm, or gas tank at night time. I checked all of the fuses, fuses are fine. My tail lights also stop working. i thought the bulbs blew out, but i checked them, they were good, i even replaced them with brand new bulbs, nothing. my signals work, hazard lights work, and even my break lights work. but at night when i put my lights on, my tail lights just don't light up. i can't figure out what it is. i just got a ticket for blown tail lights man, madd money for a senseless reason.
please help, asap, because i don't want to take it to a mechanic so he can see a perfect opportunity to charge me an arm and a leg for something simple.

I'd check the switch, i've been around ford trucks long enough to know the signs of a bad headlight switch...they love to **** the bed on those. I'm not saying its 100% the switch, but it is def worth looking into.
i have the same problem but its not the switch i bought a new one from honda and that was not it the guy before me ran a jumper wire over to the parking light wire and with a fuse he took it to a constant hot thats the only way the lights will come on. Its like there is a short in the wire harness somewhere so now i have to put a fuse in and take it out when i want the parkin lights if you can't find the wire IM me and i will look at mine thats just my 2 cents though good luck finding it.
This is how our '02 CR-v is set up IIRC...
There is a fuse in the under hood fuse box labled "small fuse". It supplies the volts for the dash and tail lights. Don't know about your '94 though. Worth looking for.

I'm going to try and look for a fuse when i get on my lunch break.
i recently installed a radio, but i can't remember if this problem started before or after the installation. could the short have something to do with one of the wires behind my stereo?

well, it shoudn't if you used the wires off the stock radio harness. However, if you drew a constant power or ignition power wire off of somewhere else it could easily result in a blown fuse that would also affect whatever you tapped into. check for in-line fuses also, not just in the fuse box. And hey, did you check both the fuse box under the hood and the one near the drivers kick panel?
